How would you rate the Portobello Yacht Club?

Hello,

If you have eaten at the Portobello Yacht Club in downtown Disney how did you like the food, the service, the atmosphere, etc...? What did you have to eat?

Amazingly, I tried doing a search, and unless I'm wrong, I couldn't find anyone talking about this restaurant.

We had a late lunch there 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. We had a table outside and the weather was gorgeous. Service was good, food was good. I have no idea how it is now--a lot can change in 2 years.

It is sort of off the radar.
We've had dinner at Portobello 4 or 5 times, but not in the last 2 years. It's a nice place, somewhat upscale Italian. One of the better "signature" type spots at DD.

We found it to be ok when we went last May. I probably won't go back.

We eat there on every trip. It is one my favorite restaurants. We think the food is outstanding. They give you a big bulb of roasted garlic to spread on your bread before dinner, it is to die for! I am sure you will reallly enjoy it.

When we were at WDW this past June we stumbled upon this restaurant only because we tried to get into RC without a ressie....I know dumb thing to do. So I called Disney Dining and the only thing they had opened right away was PYC. We loved it so much that we decided to go back there for our last night meal. Our kids especially loved the make your own sundae bars. I absolutely loved the peach mimosas. Everything about the place was wonderful. It is definately going to be a restaurant that we will return to again.

Thanks all for your comments. This will be my DW and I's 2nd visit but not since '98 during our honeymoon. This time we'll have our DD5 with us. No one talks much about PYC. I guess as another poster says its a bit off most everyone's radar.

I love Italian food so obviously Portobello's is on our list. Are there any other Italian restaurants to hit while at WDW?
