Okay input time... So I've fallen behind scrapping and want to catch up and I realized part of the problem is I get tired scrapping the same things every year... Flower n Garden is one of my fav times but I've now scrapped in for 04/06/07...

So I've thought about combining them into "events" rather than my typical chronological like 08/09 Flower n Garden together, 07/08 (and prob 09) Halloween, July 4th, Christmas etc and put them in a separate book than the rest of the years adventures

But then should I keep the years separate or just put them all together? Cause as much as I love WDW it really doesn't change from year to year when it comes to the events

I have a book for each specail events and I add a page or 2 every year with the new things- I am using a strategy I learned in an SEI class to do my flower and garden page for this year and I will have about 40 pictures (small ) on the 2 page layout. I will have a second layout with a few larger pictures of the sand carving because I took photos while they were doing it on the first day. I will only add in those 4 pages for the year as I have photos of the other things that were out.

I second the idea of using smaller photos on a 2-page layout. Not only will stretch you creatively to be creating a different kind of page, but it will keep your books from looking like scrapbooking monsters (oh, and it's cheaper too!).

I also like your idea of putting events together. It is similar to Stacey Julian's book Photo Freedom where she suggests some different ways to scrapbook and to do it quickly (including NOT chronologically!. See if you can find it at the library!
