How would you distribute these dining points?!

This is our first time doing the DDP. We have the 'regular' plan, which consists of 1 snack, 1 TS and 1 SD. We have two signature dinners booked and I'm wondering how you would distribute the points and what you would pay for OOP. It's for me, dh and dd (4).

Here is our dinner reservations. We have a total of 18 points between the 3 of us for dinners...

Via Napoli
Artist Point (SD) (we both typically have the planked salmon $48/plate)
Tokyo Dining
CRT (SD) (never eaten here, so not sure how the dinners work/pricing)
La Hacienda
Tony's Town Square

The only thing I know for sure is that I am definitely using 2 points for dd at CRT b/c it's expensive for the kids meal! I'm just not quite sure what's the best value for the rest of it, especially, for the adults.

You really just need to look up the menu prices and do the calculations. Also may depend on whether you are doing lunch or dinner. Typically, for adults, the 2-credit restaurants are not a great value under the plan. But then again, depending on what you order, Via Napoli can also be "cheaper" than other restaurants. Especially if you go entirely out of pocket and just order a large pizza. Tony's Town Square isn't very expensive either.
So you really need to just break down the menus, and figure out the best value of your credits.

Havoc has it right. I personally use the menu's on Deb Wilis' site. I go through where I am eating, pick the items I am interested in eating (including beverage) and total it. Then once I have all my places priced out I take into account the "cost" of each dining credit. If you figure that it costs approx $45 a day for 1 CS, 1 TS and 1 Snack - that snacks average $4 each and CS averages $12 then each TS credit is $33. Therefore you need to eat more than this amount per day to make the dining worth it. If you are eating at a Signature dining establishment, you need to order more than $66 to make it worth it to use credits for that restaurant.

Also since dining covers appetizer and dessert, if you were paying out of pocket you might not get those or only get one, which would lower the price. When I price for OOP, I am more realistic. When I price for DD, I go whole hog.

I determine which places are cheaper, pay out of pocket for those and use the credits where I will get the most bang for my buck. I eat mainly at Signature dining and some places I know I have to pay OOP like the V&A but this gives me a good guideline. Also figure that since tax is included but tip isn't, that is something you will have to figure into your budget for each plan.

Just so you are aware, regular dining does not include an appetizer. Only deluxe does.

Check out the menus on Allears. You might be able to share some of the meals at Tony's and Via Napoli.

I confused by your post.

There is no plan that has 1 snack, 1 table service and 1 signature dinner.

The regular dining plan is 1 snack, 1 quick service and 1 table service.

I'd pay with credits for your little one at the signature place for sure. There meals do include an app and the dessert and there meals normally are way more than double the price of a typical meal.

As far as adult meals we normally do pay oop for 1 person at each regular restaurant for just an entree. Then we use the ddp for the other person and we split the dessert that they get. For our family it makes sense. We also make sure that whoever is getting the least expensvie entree is the one who we pay oop for. So in your case....

Via Napoli oop 1 person ddp 1 oop child
Artist Point (SD) (we both typically have the planked salmon $48/plate) ddp 4xadult, 2xchild
Tokyo Diningoop 1 person ddp 1child ddp
CRT (SD) (never eaten here, so not sure how the dinners work/pricing)ddp 4xadult, 2x child
La Haciendaoop 1 person ddp 1child ddp
Tony's Town Squareoop 1 person ddp child split with adult... portions larger here (for us)
