How will future attractions coming online affect current attractions?

I’m guessing that once Tron opens, 7DMT drops substantially in wait time, and it’ll be no more than a 35 minute wait.

Likewise, I see Ratatouille affecting Test Track by either relieving pressure and causing it to drop into the 40 minute range, or driving up overall Epcot attendance and all rides have longer times.

Any other thoughts or guesses?

Tron will be such a different coaster than 7DMT. Tron is more of a thrill coaster and 7DMT is more family/kid oriented. If I had to say, it would be Tron taking away from SM. But being the new ride on the block, it will be the hardest to get for sure and shorten many other lines.

As for Rat, I think it will make the Frozen lines shorter more than TT, but overall many will head to Rat and help all the other lines be shorter as well. At least at first.

I know Tron is way different than 7DMT, but you have people going to 7DMT that once it’s not the top ride, won’t go there anymore. It will be the coaster for kids graduating from Goofy but not ready for BTM. Remember when Pooh had hour long waits? I can see 7DMT eventually having crowd levels slightly less than BTM once it’s no longer the hot new thing.

I can see Rat pulling people at rope drop leading to an initial lower wait time at Frozen, TT and Soarin’, and then 40 minutes after park opens, all those lines are jammed with the first riders from Rat.

Kind of same thing in AK. If you get to AK early, everything other than FOP is a walk on, and then all the ride times go up across the board as people getting off FOP hit their second ride.

I think we will see wait times actually go up for many of the rides. As busy as MK normally is, I expect it to be more crowded after Tron opens with big crowds for it. As a PP noted, once they get off the ride, they will stay for other rides rather than leave the park.
We have experienced the FoP phenomenon at AK. If we don't RD FoP, we can walk on almost any other ride for the first hour. Rode EE 7 times without getting off the coaster except to switch seats.
