I have been doing some serious work the last month or so in preparation for our October trip. Six days- 5 park days. I have two mountains to overcome. My hubby and Father. One, hubby feels like he will not have much fun. (I am working on him, he is doing better thanks to help from you all!) Two, is my Father, who is one of the cheapest people in the world. (He has money, he just hates to spend it...lol)
Now I have planned to get an AP so save us money on the cabin and to get the DDE card. I have made a list of the attractions in each park with and without EMH and the best bet to make the most of the rides. I know what rides to list cause I know everyone's tastes. So when the MNSSHP schedule and the EMH schedules come out, I can just plug in what days fit which parks to our advantage. This way I figure that we will have some set things to do and lots of open room to go and do. So we can get the most from our time. I also have printed a list of places from the dining card list divided by park and some sample menus for each place I think will be a big hit. I have the menus there so my Father will know what kind of money to expect to spend beforehand. Not when we get there saying... Oh MY! Its HOW MUCH?

Now, as you all know this much planning is okay around all of our DIS friends, but can scare other people. LOL Should I sit down and show them all the stuff I have togther? So they can see the kind of stuff we can do, or just wait til we get there?

Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks so much...
Melissa

I'm always for letting them in on it ahead of time. That way they can whine alittle, then think about it, and decide they are going to have the time of their lives. No time for all of that when you get there, just time for fun, fun, fun.

Also, keep an eye on the "Travel Channel"schedule, sometimes they will show Disney stuff, which makes me want to go NOW.

Definitely share it now. I think it helps to show that the trip will be fun. My husband had no idea how much we could do on our trip whenI showed him.
