My baby girl will be 16 months when we go on our trip...and correct me if I'm wrong..but she's supposed to eat off our plate? To be completely honest, I don't know if that will be enough for her? She's a big girl and eats a lot! Obviously the buffets won't be a problem...but I'm wondering about CRT and Le Cellier...and counter service??:confused3

To be honest, I think you'll be fine. I think the portion sizes are so large that you sharing with your dd won't be a problem. That is to say that you'll find that about 1/2 to 2/3 of your meal is all YOU'LL be able to eat, which ought to be more than enough for her.

Remember, her tummy is only about as big as her fist.

CRT won't be a problem either, they will provide food for her there at no cost.

We took DD when she was 20 months, and she is a big eater, and she was fine to eat off our plates pretty much everywhere. We sometimes ordered an extra side for her (like a side of mac and cheese at Chefs de France), but we really had plenty of food. We were not on the DDP, though, so when we wanted to get her something different, like a kids' meal at a CS location, we just paid for it. We did sometimes pack a cup of mandarin oranges or something and add that so we knew she was getting something healthy that we knew she'd eat.

We took her to Le Cellier on our last trip, the week she turned 2. She ate some of my steak and soup and lots of pretzel bread. We also got her a smoothie, and she was perfectly happy.

ETA: I wouldn't worry too much about CS either. We occasionally got DD a kids' meal, but lots of places we could share. In particular, I know we had more than enough food at Cosmic Ray's (great because they had green beans), Flame Tree Barbecue and Sunshine Seasons. You can always watch the size of the meals coming out as you order and then decide if she needs something extra.

She can eat anything you do. Our Daughter was 1 when we went in Jan. We had some applesauce and fruit cups we brought for her, but mostly she ate what I did or the kids did. I think we ate at a lot of buffets which helps a lot, but when we didn't we grabbed a few things off our other kids plates or our own. She was more than happy to eat things like meatloaf, mashed potatoes and cooked veggies. Not to mention that most chefs were accommodating at including a little something extra for her is we asked. Of course one of our sons has allergies so we got to talk to the chef at every sit down meal which was nice too.

When we went almost a month ago now (sigh) my 1yo was allowed to have her own plate at all of the buffet restaurants (Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace, Boma)

At CRT they brought her a plate of noodles and a dessert

At Le Cellier- she shared pizza with my son

At Counter Service- we just had her split with my son

When we went when DD was 23 months I just packed snacks for her like crackers and raisins and then she mostly shared with us.

Portions are large and you can get fruit instead of you CS (or even TS) dessert to give to her.

I found snacks worked well as DD ate alot more often than we did.

We went last May with our 16 month daughter who is a big eater and she was fine eating off our plate. At CRT they have free buttered pasta but she was more interested in my colorful pasta with cheese sauce.

We went to WDW with my son both at 13 months & 20 months and he is a big eater. He mostly split with us and my daughter. There is SO much food at WDW, that we were always full so sharing was never an issue.

At CRT - they gave DS buttered noodles at lunch which he didn't like. There is also an appetizer that he ate some of. For breakfast, they gave him his own french toast sticks which I thought was nice. Plus he could have some of the pastries & fruit, etc.

At Le Cellier - he ate some of DD's steak. Plus the bread, etc. The filet was so good, I'm glad we didn't have to share that with him! But we could have ordered him a kid's meal if we wanted.

You can always order kid's meals and pay OOP. Personally, we did a lot of family-style & buffets and that worked out great. Lots of variety and plenty of food for DS.
