I know this has been asked a million times, but I really could not get a clear answer by doing a search...will we goet soaked or just misted..thanks in advance for your help!

FYI I am not complaining just trying to dress accordingly...I for one am so glad Dudley will be open when we are there next week that I do not care if I get drown LOL...

Very wet on Dudley and usually not so wet of JPRA.

The front seat on JPRA will get you soaked! I speak from experience :)

The front part of your shirt gets soaked on Rip Saw Falls.
There are jets of water that shoot the boat from each side at the splash down point. And the person in the front gets splashed after the little 1st drop. It's so funny. The boat goes into a dark tunnel, you hear a train approaching, and the dude goes, "Looks like I've lost my train of thought." You splash down, and a wall of water comes over the left side of the boat, drenching the person in front. You'll eventually dry off after walking around.

You'll get wet on Dudley's, splashed a bit on Jurassic Park, but no-one escapes undrenched on Popeye and Bluto's! There is a covered bin area in the centre of Popeye's to put your cameras, small bags, trainers, etc, but you have to be wearing your trainers (and t-shirts) when you get on the ride. We rode Popeye's 3 times in a row-once you're soaked it didn't matter anymore!

Robvia! You spoiled the ride for her. :p

Seriously, though, that little drop after the "train" in Dudley is wetter than the final drop, IMO. I've been in the middle and gotten soaked!

I always sit in the back and laugh at the people in front of me.

The surprise isn't completely gone. It's usually the kid that sits in the front, mommy, daddy, then me in the back.

The same thing happens on JTA (Journey to Atlantis) at SWF.
After the first big drop, the boat goes into a dip, and if there are people in the front, they get soaked by a wall of water that comes over the front nose of the boat.

We were drenched. Not a stitch of clothing was dry. Infact we went on Dudley in the morning, knowing we'd get wet, since it was the last thing in IOA that we had to experience. My son was first (soaked) followed by me (soaked) and then my daughter (wet) and my hubby (wet). I tried to even out the boat but didn't help. You do get wet before the final drop.
I was so wet that I didn't finally dry out throughly until later in the afternoon. Our shirts were so wet we could actually wring them out. Funny thing, none of our shoes were wet, just our clothes.

I was smart the day we went in, we all wore mesh shorts and light weight tops. I was sure not to wear white that day too!

Definitely take a change of clothes unless you don't mind walking around soaking wet!!!

Stash the camera in a locker before you get on - there's pretty conveniently located lockers near most of the rides that can cause damage to stuff like that. It'll cost you a few bucks (I don't think there's freebies in Toon lagoon), but at least it'll still work...

DO NOT take your camera on the water rides. You will regret it!!!!!:(

Popeye's ride-
Picture a carwash with a force like Niagra Falls. Do not take anything on the ride that you want to keep dry- my camera was in the plastic covered area in the center and water managed to get in. Wear a bathing suit or those quick dry shorts-better yet ahve spare clothes. We were wet right down to our.... It was a GREAT ride!

Disneymom.

Same thing happened to me, but we loved it. It was about 1000 degrees outside so it really, really, really cooled us off...:D

We had a hot day also and it was great. Where do you plan on "trying" to stay?

No one mentioned the water cannons for which bystanders pay a quarter to drench the people riding Ripsaw Falls. My crew enjoyed soaking riders with them from the bridge area. Also, hats probably aren't such a good idea on this ride--17 yr old son lost his somewhere during the drop. If you walk along and peer over the side of the bridge near the end of this ride you can see hats, flipflops, drink bottles, etc. swirling around in the water. BTW, just in case, they DO have a lost and found to check the next day.......no luck with my son's hat though.
