I was wondering how wet you get on Journey to Atlantis. I'll be there the first week in July, so I know getting wet will feel good, but I don't want to be soaking wet and walk around the park that way. Do I need to bring a change of clothes with me?
CAN'T WAIT!!

If you're sitting in the first two rows, you're pretty much guaranteed to be drenched. Expect water to pour into the boat after the first drop and when you're making your way around the bend.

For the most part, I was in the back and only my top got wet (be careful on the incline, water pours into the floor area of the rear seat). That's about it! :)

Thanks so much. I can deal with my top getting wet.

My daughter and I got there as the gate opened and ran to JTA. Took the first boat out, went on row 2, I told her about the water coming over the front. But it didn't happen because we we're the only ones in the boat, no weight. Later we went with a full boat and the water did come over the front. If you have big heavy adults in your ride, then the water will definately come over the front. If you go with a bunch of kids, you can scoot to the center and put your hands up to block the water if you know when it's coming.

Here's exactly what happens. After the first big drop, the boat takes a 180 degree turn, then drops into a moat. The front of the boat goes under water and it pours into the first row. As you go up the hill, this water moves to the back and soaks the shoes of these people.

Best tip, sit in row 2 or 3. If you sit in the back, hold your feet up when going up the hill after the boat goes into the moat. You don't need a change of cloths if you sit in row 3.

Even if you get soaked in the front, you'll dry off. It's your shoes you want to keep dry. It's the people in the back that need to keep their feet up.

Robvia,
Thanks for such a detailed response. I plan to wear water proof sandals so I
don't care if my feet get wet.

If you sit in front, you will get really wet. Your whole body will get wet! I sat in the back and only my top got wet.

After riding JTA, be sure to ride Kraken to dry off. :)

Yes Barry, that's just what I'm planning to do!

We sat in the front row and got SOAKED! And I do mean soaked. This was by far the wettest we go on any ride in Orlando. I could have taken a bath with my clothes on and been drier!!
Good fun though!!

We got absolutely soaked. This was the wettest we've been on any ride ever. We had to buy some new clotes for my sister to wear, because it was a cold day, and she was soaking. Make sure you wear a poncho.

Xavier - Are you the same Xavier who wrote the Pirates of the Caribbean song? :D

I was standing at the top section (by the entrance level). The trainer warned us that we'll get wet. I was like....yeah right, we're all the way up. Guess what. My top was all wet. People down there get SOAKED. I mean.... it's like standing under a waterfall for me, and I'm alllllll the way up there.

Put away your camera before he splashed.
