How wet do u get on Jurrasic Park?

If I remember correctly it makes a big splash but you don't get soaked right? Or does it all depend on where you're sitting? I'm thinking I may have to pass this one up if it's a chilly day.

depending on where you are sitting and the amount of weight in the boat can determine how wet you can get. if the boat is "light", i lean to the side to avoid getting wet.


i always sit near the front or in the middle.
as the boat is going down, i duck by leaning far over to one of my sides.

the side i lean towards determines how cute that person is...

usually, the water goes over my head then and i miss out on getting very wet.

you will get some droplets on you once the boat lands and splashes.
but then, if the boat is full and heavy, you are more apt to get water on you.

if you sit straight up as you go down and even out in the water, you will get wet in the face for sure.
i have seen some guests very wet all over, but not the feet.

go ahead and try the ride once.
you know you wanna.......

I always do the duck and cover but thought that I remembered this one has a bigger bark than it's bite. I got drenched on Splash in April and I was not a happy girl. I've never gotten wet on Splash except for those few droplets but they had all fountains on and I was ringing the water from the shorts afterwards.

do you mean splash mountain at disney?
yea, on that one even if you avoid getting wet when the boat hits the bottom, you get wet when that boat goes around the curve to return to the exit.

the boats that are coming down the mountain after you get past that point splash a ton of water to the sides.

and usually it all falls where you are sitting......
i wear my poncho on that one.

We got wet right from the very beginning. They had the spurts of water that cross the river which I guess usually turn off right as you get there. Well this time they stayed on and landed right on my head! I never take a poncho (don't ask me why) but maybe I'll have to pick some up. This is going to be a quick trip with Universal in 1 day and Epcot and MK in 1 day. So even if it's raining we don't have time to stop so a poncho would be wise huh?

i do the ponchos on sunny days if i am on a water type ride.
especially for splash mountain.

when there are empty seats on splash, all the seats get wet.

when it is my turn to get in the log boat, i always end up in a previously empty seat........and it is always full of water.....


i can not stand to walk around a park all day with wet undies.
i take the poncho, rain or shine ............



but at universal, some of the water rides even a poncho won't save you........popeye and bluto's bilge-rat barges

Oh yeah I don't even think about Kali or Blutos. I'm too high maitenance to be soaked!

When we do not want to get real wet we sit in the back center and normally can ride a few times with a couple of splashes. If we have our suits and sandels on then front row for sure no ducking.

No matter what you do on this your going too get soaked!!

Best thing too do is wear cotton,it dries faster!!

Wear a poncho, that way, you can enjoy the ride and not get wet

i know the jarassic park at USH turns down the water effects during the winter months. I bet USO does also. I've gotten off it bone dry, and i went in August and was soaked down to,well everything.

We went on JPRA twice this past October and got very wet both times. Not as wet as we would while riding Popeye's or Duddley's. We were sitting near the front of the boat both times. The back of the boat usually stays drier.

We got absolutely soaked this spring too. We've ridden tons of times and that was the first time we got soaked.

I've never really gotten wet on JPRA. If you're looking to get really wet, Popeye & Bluto and Dudley are main choices

My theory is that its for the comfort of the guests. Guests don't like getting extemely wet on cool/cold days so that water levels are turned down so that large splashes are minimized. During hot, summer days, the water levels will be increased, resulting in bigger splashes.
