How were crowds the last week of April?

I'm hoping someone who was at Universal/IoA during the last week of April can report on crowd levels. We were at Disney and decided to hold off on Universal/IoA for one more year. We'll be there next year for sure! We're just wondering if we really need the benefits of staying onsite during that week. We have an off-site timeshare nearby so it would be much easier for us to stay there. Also if there are certain days of the week that would be better for us, I'd love that advice too!

Thanks!!

That's our school vacation week. I thought the crowds were moderate. We stayed on-site so we didn't have any issues with lines, but the more popular rides the lines did get a bit long in the stand-by line. There did seem to be a lot of local school kids there in big groups during the week.

I was at Universal and IOA on April 26th and didn't really notice that there were that many people. We went in the morning and did Harry Potter first. By lunch we had everything done and headed over to the Universal side. The longest wait of the day was for Spiderman which was about 30 minutes at 12pm. Late April is one of my favorite times to go. Weather was great and crowds weren't too bad!

Universal.... Longest wait was 5mins, was excellent!
IOA.... Longest wait was 45mins for HP Forbidden Journey rest was pretty much walk on!

Thanks for posting! Which days were you in which parks?

Thanks for the reply! How was the wait for Harry Potter first thing in the morning?
