How were crowds during Easter week 2014??

Just decided to book another spring break trip for 2015. We were there in 2013 and 2012. In 2012 we rented a house in Windsor Hills and in 2013 We did a Dvc stay. We actually didn't think it was bad. In 2012 our last park day was SAT. Of Easter weekend. In 2013 we flew home on Friday. Next year our plan is to arrive Friday the week before Easter weekend and depart the day before Easter. Of course both years the old FP SYSTEM was still around. I love F&G at EC and hope the crowds won't be like Thanksgiving or Christmas weeks!!

We were there this year for the week leading up to Easter 4/12 - 4/19 (left the Saturday before Easter) staying offsite. The parks were crowded, but they extended the regular park hours at MK most days till 1 am and it was great! We usually got to the other parks mid-afternoon (3-5 pm) to use our FP+, waited in line for whatever other rides we wanted, had dinner and closed out most days at MK. MK in the late evening was divine. The lines averaged about 15-20 minutes (with several rides being walk-ons) and we got to ride everything we wanted to ride over the course of the week, most rides more than once. The extended hours really made a difference.

Last year we did our first spring break trip from the Tuesday before Easter and departed on Easter Day.

I know I'm jinxing myself by keep saying this...but we didn't find the crowds at any point to be impacting our trip. We did rope drops in the morning, long mid-day breaks (though the weather was very cool all week - low 70's and mostly cloudy so we didn't do much pool time) and then recharged for nights at either Epcot or MK or DTD. We literally didn't wait on a significant line all week and did everything we wanted to (note: didn't do ToT or RnRC - my wife and 7 year old had no interest and I've done them plenty of times so no need to do a single rider. Also, this was right before 7DMT opened).

We're going back this year from Holy Saturday to the following Saturday. We'll see!!

See we thought the same as you. We went in thinking it would BE BUSY and it really wasn't. We always think MK is crowded most day anymore, however we thought the other parks were not that bad. Put it this way....this will be our 3rd spring break trip so it didn't FREAK US OUT THAT MUCH. We have been during Thanksgiving week and once you got to about Tuesday of Thanksgiving week....it was crowded and went downhill from there. I am looking forward to another F&G trip.

I'm so glad to hear these positive stories. I am going spring break of 2016 and I was so worried about crowds. I planned on using a touring plan and trying to navigate the best I could.
