Pepper Market $22.00
Savings about 44.00
Pepper Market $22.00
Savings about 36.00

So altogether we saved 226.00. And we ate
at House of Blues w/ the entertainment card 1 free dinner.

It was definetly worth it for us. The only problem we encountered was at RFC. The server was not to keen on the voucher deal. He said we could not use it because it was after lunch..however when I made the PS I asked for the last lunch seating and the manager agreed to honor it. Just beware about the times.

WOW you guys made a killing! Way to go!

Can you tell me about house of blues.. free dinner? how was it? good food? worth the free dinner?

what did you have at B&C?

thanks!
?

The HOB was in the Orlando Entertainment Book. Buy one dinner get one free. (you need the card not a coupon) At B&C we ate so much I think I remember...ceaser salad & chili for appetizers
double cheeseburger w/fries & prime rib sandwich w/onion rings for entree 1 kitchen sink 1 ice cream cone and 2 sodas & coffees.
All this for $22.00. If you haven't already purchased the vouchers I really reccomend them. I was skeptical at first but as you can see, if you plan right you really do save. And I didn't feel like I had to go out of our way to use them because you have to go somewhere to eat right? Next time I think I will not get as many of the Vacation Kingdom lunch vouchers..they seem to work best at Epcot and we are not big Epcot fans.

House of Blues is one of our favorites so that was a real bonus. The one free dinner more than paid for the book. ($5.00) Food is always good and service consistant.

Do you know if we can use our Disney Club cards to get the discount at HOB's? It has an entertainment symbol on it... I didn't buy the Orlando book this year... I have in past years & never used them

What did you think of the Concourse Steakhouse? What time did you go to the RFC?

chris1gill,

I'm not sure about the Disney Club Card but I guess you can call HOB and ask..and we also got 10% disc w/ AE..

The Concourse was a nice break from MK and very relaxing and uncrowded. The food was good and plentiful. We had the latest PS of 1:45 and did not eat dinner that nite.

Our PS for RFC was "LUNCH" at 4:15 made thru Disney.

Good job, Mom!!!

I was thinking about getting a voucher for RFC as wellll! Tell me more about what y'all got there:

Rainforest Cafe AK $42.00
Savings about 41.00

OH--also I didn't think you could get PSs with RFC, even through Disney; thought you had to be a RFC member to make ressies.

Thanks!

tink- AE American Express

Ferret- actually when looking back we saved well over $50.00
we got 2 appetizers (calamari & quesidias)
$16.50 primal steak & king crab $38.00
kids meal $6.00 volcano desert $13.00
2 coffees $4.50 & 2 kids drinks $4.00 so
after tax & tip over $104.00 so we dis good!!

Where is the Concourse Restaurant? Also did you eat lunch or dinner at the Rainforest Cafe?
Thanks

Lisakordes, The Concourse Steakhouse is in the Contemporary Resort....

I think the Original Poster said she had the last seating for lunch the day she went, which was at 4:15 I think she said....

Way to go, MOM!!!
After reading your post, and doing the happy math, I have decided we will get more bang for our 29.5 bucks if we use our lunch vouchers at Rainforest Cafe rather than the Brown Derby. Unlike you, I only purchased 2 adult vouchers, because I was sure I would not be lucky enough to order adult appetizers and desserts if I purchased the kids' vouchers for our 2 youngest(our 2 oldest are "adults" by Disney standards at 12 and 13). We had planned on eating at both restaurants anyway. We are also doing Beaches and Cream with the Q&C vouchers, but I do not want to be embarrassed by ordering the kitchen sink if it is not allowed. Was it your experience that the waitstaff was pretty forthcoming with information on the best way to use the vouchers? We will be a large party of 2 parents and 6 teenagers celebrating DD's birthday, and I do not want to embarrass my daughter anymore than I have to(you know, the obvious eye-roll every time I ask a question and/or pull a coupon out of my purse).
And 1 last question...was the Pepper Market hard to navigate or confusing, or the waitstaff confused on how to use the vouchers? I would like to try it for lunch on our water park day. Thank You so much for the info!

Michelle(who leaves in 2 sleeps!!!!)

does anyone know if there is a way around getting meal vouchers from connections if you live in the uk, i know on their site it states that you have to live in the us so if anyone can help with any info it would be appreciated thanks
margaret.

Mic- Beaches & Cream were the most helpful w/ the vouchers. The Kitchen sink is allowed and was only considered 1 dessert. IMO it was a waste..Too much stuff and a lot of work to get to the ice cream. But with your party probably worth it.
The RFC waiter was not so knowledegable (or so he claimed) but after all was said and done worked out very well. Like I said in my original post be careful of the PS time. As far as Pepper Market, we did tell the waiter we had the vouchers and he said go get one appetizer, soup, or salad and an entree & dessert & he brought us our drinks. When you go to pay the person at the register seemed to know how to use them..We wound up only paying for 1 kids meal. Its pretty easy to navigate the Pepper Market especially that your kids are older. It wasn't the best for us because the kids are little but I thought the food was really good. And I know what you mean about the eye-rolling only it was coming from my husband. LOL

Banjo-Maybe you can buy someones unused vouchers? I know that people were selling them here awile ago.. just a thought

Mic,

You HAVE to order the kitchen sink!! It's a lot of fun, I won't say anymore to ruin the surprise, but it is FUN.... The staff at both B&C as well as Pepper Market are totally familiar with the vouchers, so don't worry about that... When you order at B&C, they let you order an appetizer (chili or Caesar salad for instance) as well as the entree (prime rib sub or double burther with bacon & all) & then a dessert, as well as a drink & they do allow you a frozen drink... When we arrived, I just showed the waitress our voucher & she offered all this info... We went twice in December & each time our experience was the same... The first time we did NOT order the kitchen sink, the second time we did & in fact the table next to us was admiring ours so much they were going to order one & I told the waitress to put it on our tab since we used two vouchers & used only one dessert option... In our experience the waitstaff was happy to give us our money's worth!!

Pepper Market was very easy to navigate & the vouchers were an excellent value there!!

I'm trying to figure out where we should use our Q&C vouchers to get the most out of them. The two for sures are B&C and the Pepper Market (thanks to the posters on this board). Also, probably Tusker House or Flame Tree (Tusker House has just discontinued the sitdown schoolroom lunch, right? They still have lunch counter service?). That leaves about 2-3 more meals. Has anyone tried using them at the Riverside Mill at PO? By looking at the menu that seems like you'd get more than your money's worth. Also, we'll be going to either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach and I suppose we could use them there (don't know if that would be considered a wise move, tho). I've also read that Tangerine Cafe is a good voucher choice, but I'm not sure I can talk teenagers into that kind of food. We are staying offsite and will have a rental car, but I don't won't to go crazy spending time just to use the vouchers! We leave in 6 days . . . first time to WDW. Any other suggestions or thoughts--thanks!

Hi,

What are these vouchers everyone is talking about and where do I get them? I've heard of Connections from reading the messages here, but have read some horror stories and am kind of nervous about ordering anything from them.. is this the vouchers you are talking about? Also, when I've gone to the Connections website, I can't seem to find how to join. I do have the Orlando Entertainment Book and noticed House of Blues offers a savings of $24. I plan to use this book a lot on dining out to save money, it seems like a great value!

Do a search on this board using the word Connections and you'll find all kinds of info. I can tell you that I received my Q&C vouchers & park hopper plus passes very quickly via 2nd day UPS from them (no shipping charges and they do have the lowest prices to be found). But I cancelled my membership because they just don't have their act together. I never received my membership packet nor the $25 gift certificate they advertised, couldn't buy anything online (always got an error message), whenever I called they could never find me--why should I pay $84/year for that? However, I was always able to get through to them on the phone right away and the customer services reps were very nice. But I was really nervous until the tickets came, spending all that money (hoppers) with a company that seemed so disorganized. So you have to decide it it's all worth it. I signed up online at Coolsavings.com.

Rainforest Cafe AK $42.00
Savings about 41.00

I'm curious about the vouchers you used for this? I thought only the MK Lunch for $29.50 could be used?

Also, if the Q&C vouchers are only for counter service restaurants, should gratuity even be considered in seeing if they are "saving" us $?

Very confused trying to order my vouchers! lol, Heather

1 adult full service lunch voucher $29.50
+1 child full service lunch voucher$12.50
= $42 total
:D

The Q&C vouchers includes a 15% GRATUITY based on the original value of the bill. If you get really great service, add another 5% in cash, otherwise feel comfortable not leaving any further of a tip. The only two places I can figure this happens is at Beaches & Cream & Pepper Market. (On the bottom of the voucher there is a place where they fill in the original total, then the 15% calculation.. ) Hope this helps!
