How We Broke The News To The Kids

Both DD and DS get a small present upon the completion of each year of school (a tradition we started years ago) but this year, they also received this sort of poem/rhyme I wrote:

The Summer is here, you’ve made good grades for another year, both Dad and I are proud to say that both of you have turned out this way.

For part of your gift, it’s gonna be hot, but prices were right, this is what we got:

Free flights, free food and a monorail resort stay, the Contemporary Resort will be part of our Summer days.

So find some shorts, you don’t need any shots, on the airplane we’ll be, like it or not . . .August 23rd – 28th will be a blast . . .hope Ice Station Cool is open, the mugginess will pass.

So surprise surprise you knew it was coming, both Mom and Dad are crazy, but always have lots of loving.

To my surprise they truly loved it! I was very excited to see that my teens still are wacky enough to want to accompany us to WDW.

Thanks . . it just sort of popped out of my fingers when I sat trying to think of something to write that sorta went together . . .

Free flights - we postponed our April 06 Vacation and had flight credits (so they were already paid for)

Free Food - we took advantage of the Free Dining Plan that WDW had extended until 6/25 . . .

We weren't supposed to be traveling until November, but I couldn't resist taking advantage of the low costs of this trip.
