how was the weather week of May 26

I was very concerned as I'd watch the Weather Channel and see low pressure disturbances moving over the Carribean, but it really turned out fine. It was cloudy, but warm in port, so we were able to do the Sailaway party outside, but once we began moving, things got choppy. We were swaying by our 6pm dinner and then as we'd walk through the ship, it was hard to keep your balance. The waves weren't so big, it was just very windy and we were moving pretty fast that evening. I never felt sick, but I took my Bonine, just more disoriented, or "drunk." We docked the next morning, so we were fine the rest of the day. It did downpour in Nassau, which the locals said was a tropical depression, but it cleared in the afternoon for the most part and the rest of the cruise was beautiful. Castaway Cay couldn't have been more perfect. The captain said he's been through 60 ft. swells before, (not on Disney) and our servers told us they've rode through 3 hurricanes, so I felt pretty safe.

Our 3-day left on May 30 (not the 26th cruise) and it was verysmooth. The first night seemed a little bumpier than the others (and the TV report from the bridge indicated "moderate" 8 foot waves.) We just thought it was us because it was our first cruise. We had Bonine and really didn't have any problems though.

As far as temperature goes, I honestly can't remember. Probably the typical early summer low 90s for highs and low 70s for lows. We didn't experience any rain on our trip which was nice :)

The May 26th cruise was our third and we couldn't have been more pleased with the weather. My husband and I were actually both dissapointed that the ship didn't rock more at night, we love being lulled to sleep! The temps. were high and so was the humidity, but it was easily the smoothest sailing we've been on (a quick note, both of our other cruises were the Eastern itinerary in Nov. so take what you will from it).

I was on the 26th cruise and yes it was rocky on that first night but after that it was smooth sailing. You weren't by chance on the 23rd sailing were you. I heard that trip was pretty bad. Our server said that on the final night of the previous sailing he only had 4 people at dinner. We were glad we got so lucky!!
