How was the 12/3 CP with Wayne Brady?

I left on the 3rd, so I missed hearing Wayne Brady as the CP narrator that evening. (I really enjoyed Robby Benson on 11/30.) How was your dinner at Teppanyaki? Did you all take advantage of the 15% merchandise discount at Epcot that day? I spent close to $200 at Epcot (bought souvenirs for my SIL as well as my own), so the savings almost paid for my dinner.

The CP on the 3rd was spectacular. The conductor was amazing. I spent most of my time watching him, absorbing the music, and getting caught up in the feelings of Christmastime.

Dinner at Teppenyaki was very good, and very filling. Barb and I had the lobster, scallops and shrimp, and I believe that Frank and Ray had the steak dishes.

And yes, I took advantage of the 15% discount, though I didn't spend nearly what I thought I would.

I thought Wayne Brady was FABULOUS! I had never heard of him or seen him before (yes, I know....I live under a rock here in Idaho. ;) ), but he read beautifully!!!!

But like Steve said, the conductor was AWESOME!!!! He really got into it! I cried the whole way through it. It was sooooooo moving, and so beautiful.

Dinner at Teppanyaki for Tammy and I was delicious.....and very filling! Waaaay too much food! We didn't know this until they were leaving, but the one of the ladies that we were sitting with at dinner was the voice of Wendy from The Peter Pan movie! Too cool!!!!! :)

I promise to never skip The Candlelight Processional ever again! It was the best way to end my stay at WDW. :) :) :)

Wayne Brady didn't really make or break the performance for me, sorry to say.

I think Wayne Brady (Tia, I think I'm under a rock too - never heard of the man before....) did a great job, but IMHO James Avery was the best!!:)

I agree with Tia. I think Wayne Brady did an excellent job. And, I cannot believe I almost ran him over at the Yacht Club later that night. I so wanted to tell him that he was wonderful, but he was deep in conversation with Disney exec's and I didn't want to interrupt. I could just kick myself. I hate when I do that! Another missed opportunity. I'm with Tia, too, in that I won't miss this ever again. We wondered about doing the Candlelight Processional as a convention thing next year. Wouldn't that be wonderful to experience that with everyone?
Steve, you can tell who the musician is. I was more enthralled with the chorus. I wish I could sing like that. :)

We went to the CP on Monday Dec 3rd also. Wayne Brady was good, but I go for the horns and the Hallelujah Chorus and the final song "Let There Be Peace On Earth". This has been an emotional time for me as I lost my Mom on Nov 6th. I am glad we went to DISCON. We didn't get to many mini meets but we had fun with the people we did meet.

I wish I could sing like that as well, Barb. The massed choir was wonderful. So glad I picked up the Candlelight CD on an earlier trip.

I attended the 5 pm show and didn't do the dinner package (had dinner at the California Grill later on in the evening).

I thought it was great and Wayne did a nice job. This was my first CP. And yes I was crying towards the end too - but it was Silent Night that got me started.

I also got the CD

I need this CD!!!

If it becomes a convention event...wow! That would be fun! We can all cry in unison! :D
