So, I am sooooooooooooooo excited :cool1: I have been working on putting a trip together for a while, but due to lack of funds, we've had to cancel a couple of trips over the last year. I finally have booked for real and didn't tell my DH or DS!! I plan on suprising them for Christmas - the trip isn't until March

How the heck should I wrap WDW for them? All ideas are welcome!

Beautiful big boxes with clues.......

rice krispy treats, toy tiara, pictures of roller coasters and fireworks, toy palm tree......could be fun!

An empty Disney photo album... to be filled after the trip with all your great photos!

A scavenger hunt through the house with clues leading to presents:

start under tree ideas: we're going a trip: if you are flying---small airplanes/if driving a map of the US with a clue that leads to the kitchen

which can lead to the ktichen: magnets for the fridge/cup or dishes with disney theme with another clue that leads to the bedroom

which can lead to their bedroom: new t shirts/pj's/etc

which can lead to their bathroom: can you get anyone here to send you some Mickey soap?/but disney themed bubble bath(walmart)/disney themed beach towel

which can lead to another room: suitcase/duffel bag/backpack

which can lead to another room: and so on (Disney Dollars)

and end at the car: The Magic Kingdom Game/Disney Sceneit/a copy of Birnbaum's for Kids (son) and another travel book (Unofficial Guide or Birnabum's) for hubby.

Or if you are driving, leave clues to follow the routes (i.e. each state) and end with Florida and Disney

I did this once for my son for a spring training trip I took him on the folllowing March. I made up cute (and not so cute but they got the job done) rhymes to attach to each gift for the enxt clue.

My dad was quite creative when we were kids. He made his own puzzle out of cardboard that he covered with plain white contact paper. He wrapped one piece in a box for each person. When we finally figured out how it went together, it was a castle.

You could order the free disney vacation dvd and wrap it up!:thumbsup2
Have lots of fun,I wish I could see their faces Christmas morning when they figure it out! :woohoo:

You can read what we did for our girls last Christmas - see my trip report link in my signature.

There are some great ideas here!

My dad did this for us a few times. He usually got a box from the Disney Store (I have no idea how, because there isn't one within an hour and a half of us), and then in it he'd put Disney t-shirts, the Birnbaum travel guide, and a picture frame that had the travel doccuments stuffed into it.

It always made me cry!

I have wrapped a mylar balloon in a box with trinkets for their trip! when they open the box the balloon floats out! I was just looking at the personalized park maps on the disney website. They come printed with your name on them and they are the maps of all the parks! HAVE FUN!

Thanks everyone. I have some ideas thanks to you!! :thumbsup2 I am so excited...it is hard not talking about it :-)

We did this last year for our girls. It was so much fun to surpise them with the trip.

We got a large ( and I mean huge) box and had all sorts of goodies in it.

Each set of "clues" was wrapped in its own box (within the huge box) with a note attached.

The first box had coloring books, crayons, and cards. The note attached said "something to do to pass the time on the way"

The seconed box had matchbox size airplanes in it. The note just had a smiley face.

The third box has a pair of Mickey Crocs for each child. The note said " to wear as you explore"

The last box had Mickey T-shirts for everyone that I designed on Zazzle. It also had a plush mickey for both girls.

They fiquered it out on the last one:thumbsup2 They went nuts. It was so fun seeng them dig through that huge box and they had no clue what it was about.

Also, a few years ago my Mom gave all of us (my brother's family, and myself) a trip to Disney. She did a scavenger hunt with finding a card that had a Letter in it. The first card would say- "Go to the where the mail comes" When the kids went there they found a greeting card with the letter "I" in it and the instrustions to go to the next location where the also found another greeting card with the letter " W" in it and so on. The kids had to peice all the letters together to find out where we were going. It was a lot of fun.

Have fun planning, I know they will love the surpirse.:wizard:
