The tag says do not bleach. Is there a way to whiten "underarmor" shirts?

I've used OxiClean powder to whiten items. I used it on a wall hanging that also had colored sections. I wanted to remove the yellowing from the white sections. Worked very well. I just soaked it in the tub.

She beat me to it! I second the vote for oxiclean

You could try the oxiclean. You also can not use softener or anything on these shirts.

Sadly my son as a dozen of them, and although I love them, they are not a treat to wash.

Thanks, I am out of oxy but I have some detergent with oxy in it. I will try that.

My son's UnderArmour and his uniform shorts are white - I've used Amaze with good success. I figure if it can whiten cloth diapers, it's got to be able to whiten uniform shorts!

Tell me about it. DH came home with some and I just rolled my eyes because I had read about the no softener here on the DIS. Annoying to remember to not add, or to figure out what else I want to wash with it that I won't mind no softener on.

Luckily, he bought a skin colored version and not white though.

I had the same thing this last fall with my DS. I talked to another mom, who happens to own a dry cleaners. She suggested Fels Naptha. It looks like a bar of soap, but it works!

So, once you wash it again, is the softener out of it?

I love that stuff.

Beats me. He just bought them and I've only had to wash them once so far. Luckily I remembered when I did the laundry because I'm not a tag reader. :rotfl:
