How to use tickets

Son bought tickets in line, he's staying off-site. He bought them last week. Will he be mailed tickets or do the just send the tickets through his email?. Going the last week of Feb.
He's an OTR driver, so trying to help him out as much as I can

He purchased them off the Disney website.

When he arrives at WDW, he needs to be sure to have the confirmation number(s) for the ticket(s) with him.
He can go to a park entrance gate and when he gets to the tap style a CM will come over and issue a plastic card ticket for everyone in his party.
That ticket can be used for park entry and FP+ purposes.

He ALSO needs to sign up for a MyDisneyExperience account at the following link-

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/

and make FP+ reservations (up to 30 days in advance) for everyone in his party.

Yup already downloaded the MDE app and made FP selection. We are staying on site and he'll meet up with us mid way through the trip. Since we stay on site I had now idea if he'd be sent something in the mail or he just uses an email sent by Disney.

He can take a print-out of the email sent by Disney to the first park gate.
After that, he'll use the plastic ticket he will be given.

Do you know if it has to be printed out or can he just show the email on his phone

Phone (or a paper with the numbers written down) will work fine.
It's not really for "legal proof."
It's just so the CM can know the actual ticket number.

Person should have a legal photo ID.
