How to Use Nutrisystem Discounts and Food Information

Just tried another new one tonight. I also updated my food post to add this. :)

Vegetarian Fajitas - What a shocker! This was GOOD!!! I was soooooo scared of the little soy boogers (meant to be meat) when I opened the package. I was even more scared of them after it was cooked! They were really good though! And it was a ton of food...much more filling than any other dinner entree I've had with this program. WILL ORDER AGAIN!

Formernyer,

Thanks for the reviews! I am kind of apprehensive about trying any soy products as I had to give DS6 soy milk as a toddler - he has since outgrown his allergy to cow's milk. I thought the soy milk was horrid. Anyhow, did you doctor-up the fajitas with a wrap and lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream (you get the picture), or eat the filling "as is" ? Just wondering how I should prepare for this NS delicacy.

To the last two posters:

I also had a soy-phobia prior to starting this plan, but it seems almost everything in the plan has soy protein, so I decided to just pretend it's not there and everything seems tasty.

The first thing I tried which was made primarily of soy was the bag of BBQ Soy Chips that they sent as part of the free week. They really surprised me...very tasty.

The second primarily-soy item was the Vegetarian Sloppy Joes...they also surprised me. I actually forgot that the "meat" in them was soy until after I finished eating it!

Tonight was the third primarily-soy item. Again, I was shocked at how good they tasted. This was the scariest looking one, because the soy meats were so big. It tasted great though, and it was enough to overfill two LARGE flour tortillas. I added absolutely nothing to the mix except 8oz. of water, per the directions. I think they would be even better if I added some diced tomatoes, peppers, etc. It was good without them though. I only made one tortilla, because they were flour and not whole grain. I ate the rest of the mix plain and it was still good.

Thank you for the info. Your posts have taken some of the soy-fear away from me. I will try these fajitas but will add lettuce and tomatoes, etc. to jazz it up and pretend I am eating at a fine Mexican establishment!

Forgot this one in the Food Reviews post...

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Pudding - Pretty good, but I thought it needed a little more sweetness. The serving size is pretty normal...8 oz. of water plus the mix. The second time I made it I added 1/2 packet of Splenda and it was MUCH better. I also froze it the second time, which I'll probably do in the future. It takes a lot longer to eat and seems like more food when it's frozen...more refreshing for the summer that way too! WILL PROBABLY ORDER AGAIN.

I need help editing my autodelivery. I have made changes but they dont seem to be posted. I keepo seeing my old selections. Any clue? Thanks

There are + / - buttons next to the box for the number. You have to use + or - to increase or decrease the amount. You can't type the number in the box. Also, when your done, at the top of the page there is a "I'm done Editing - save my changes" box to click on. That should do it... although I've had to re-change mine a couple of times sometimes.

Chicken with Vegetables and Almonds - YUCK! It was edible. That's about the only positive thing I can say about this one. No flavor at all. DEFINITELY WILL NOT ORDER AGAIN!

Awesome Joy thanks. Boy it is so much slower doing it that way. Now, how do I go about returning things that I dont like. Do they replace it with my choice? Thanks again
Is there a way I can add another promo code for my next autodelivery?

To return items for exchange, call customer service and ask for an exchange code. They will email you a form that you print out and mark what items you are returning, and also select what you want as replacements. They will exchange a breakfast for another breakfast, lunch for lunch, etc. You will have to pay for the shipping to return the items, but nutrisystem covers the cost of mailing the replacements to you.

There are no promo codes for subsequent orders. The only discounts you can get are through the autoship discount of 10% on the first 3 orders and 15% after that; The Daily Dose clicks -- click on the daily dose at the website (once a day) and when you reach 50 clicks you get $10 off; and referring others to join nutrisystem with Buddy Bucks - you can get $30 off for each person that actually joins. (There is another thread on this board to post referral offers).

Can anyone help me with a few questions?

When you order food, what exactly do you get for each day? A breakfast item, lunch item and dinner item-correct?

Then is a snack and dessert added, or just one or the other?

How much food do you add on your own?

Thanks

Julia

Here is an excellent post at another board that gives you all the basics:

Updating my food reviews post again with the following items:

Mashed Sweet Potatoes with Cheese - Very good! Again, I'm surprised that I like these because I hate fake powdered potatoes, but these are every bit as good as the Potatoes w/ Broccoli and Cheese. WILL ORDER AGAIN!

Teriyaki Beef with Rice - Not great! I love teriyaki sauce, beef, and rice, but this particular product just doesn't work for me. The beef is good quality and the rice is ok, but the sauce has no flavor at all. The only way I'd order it again is if I could add my own sauce to it, but that kind of kills the whole point of the diet, so my final assessment is WILL NOT ORDER AGAIN!

I want to start Nutrisystem. Can someone please send me the codes or whatever I need to order the food at a discount? Thanks a million.

We are asking that this thread be devoted to Nutrisystem plan and food information ONLY.

If anyone would like to get a discount code from someone who already is on Nutrisystem - please PM or email someone who has posted to this thread - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1466669 .
Please do not post your request on the thread itself.

Thank you.

Thanks Joy for clarifying the dessert snack thing I did not understand that myself thanks!

I've been doing Nutrisystem for 2 weeks now and have lost 6lbs. :cool1:

The best part of all is that I actually like the food. Just make sure you have plenty of salads, veggies and fruit to add to your Nutrisystem, and you are really not ever hungry.

If anyone needs a $30 buddy code to use for your order, feel free to email me at rogers41@cox.net. Let's all lose together!:thumbsup2

about 3 weeks and 12 lbs.. WAHOO... going strong.

But how do we get savings on our next autodelivery? I do not have ther time to monitor the webiste for people asking for buddy codes like others. Is there another way to save more on future shipments? Thanks

Yes, that was confusing to me when I started Nutrisystem, but someone else told me that the desserts / snacks were interchangable and that the salty were snacks and the sweet were desserts. And when you look on an order, they are all listed in the dessert category.
