Hello,

I have a couple questions about using LL. for the first time.

1. How do I use it when I am there for 1 day and have park hopper? Can you book a ride in one park, while in the other one?

2. We are a family of 4. Can I be the only one using the app to get LL for everyone, or does each person need to book themselves?

Thanks :)

To avoid any incorrect info here is what I know from experience.... 1) each person must be INSIDE one of the parks to book their first LL ride, not sure if that ride has to be in the same park. 2) you can definitely book rides in the "other" park at some point as I've done it often, just not sure if you have to have completed one ride somewhere first? 3) be sure to set your alarm for every two hours so you keep booking, you can modify times/rides as you go along and the modifications do not reset that two hours, only going on a ride resets anything, and that is the reset that you can book a replacement ride for the one you just clocked into, immediately.

If you have everyone on your phone app, you can Select them for each ride by checking boxes.

Hope that helps, and someone can clarify more for you :)

You can book for everyone in your party as long as their tickets are linked in your app. You can book in the other park, as long as the return time is after 11am, when you're allowed to park hop. One thing of note is that if you go to "modify" a lighting lane reservation, you can only switch it to another ride in the same park where the original lightning lane booking was located.

Can someone remind me why I was thinking you need to actually "use" one of your LL rides early in the day in California, or am I confusing being in the park with actually using the first LL?

I was under the impression that your entire party had to scan into the park but didn't have to remain in the park to book LLs (eg my 2 boys want to sleep in but have agreed to get up and enter the park so they can scan in so I can start stacking LLs for later and they will head back to the room to sleep). Is this allowed?

Yes we do this every trip at some point with our DDs! Just have everyone scan in, and our girls make a U turn and go back to the room at GCH for a bit more sleep! Then you can book away for everyone, and modify for later times so that you can all ride once they are up again and in the parks with you. Or, if you have rides they want to use LL on later and you want to ride sooner with LL, you can book LL for some members of your party for a ride at a sooner certain time, and then book the same ride’s LL for the other members of your party at a different time. You have to do the two bookings separately, but that is easy. Have fun!

I think this may be getting confusing from WDW, where you have to use the ones you have pre-booked so that you can book more? At DLR, you just have to scan into the park before making your first LL (no prebooking allowed at DLR).

Also, everyone in your party does not have to scan in together. For example, my DD and I decide to get up early and RD. We scan in and can book LLs for ourselves, but we are not able to book LLs for other DD and DH who are sleeping in and have not scanned into any park yet. This is just to be clear that your entire party does NOT have to be scanned in to the park for ANYONE in your party to book a LL, but anyone who wants to book a LL must have individually scanned into a park. Hope that makes sense!

You can book for everyone in your party on your app if their tickets are in your account. I have my DDs (ages 18 and 20) log into the app on their phones with my login credentials (so we are all logged in as “me”) simultaneously. This way we can all see what LLs are booked, all can mobile order and pick up mobile orders etc. DDs can also use LLs for rides via the app even if they are in a different part of the park or different park from me.

Fair warning that anyone could also cancel a LL or mobile order, so make sure your kids are very familiar with the app and all of the booking rules so they don’t accidentally change something.
