instead of driving to Universal is there a shuttle from the parks to there?

Mears is your best bet for transportation to Sea World and/or Universal.

Detailed Instructions

The day before you want to go to Universal, pick up any house phone at WDW and dial "0".

When the Disney operator answers, ask to be connected to Mears.

When the Mears person comes on, tell them you wish to go to Universal the next day, how many in your party, which resort you are staying at, and approximately what time you wish to leave.

The Mears operator will give you a pick up time.

The cost is around $13 per person, round trip, cash only to the driver.

The day you are scheduled to go to Universal, proceed to your resort front entrace. Some resorts have Mears pick up at the bus stops (mainly value), some have Mears pick up at the front entrance.

When you arrive at Universal, the bus driver will give you a return trip ticket which has a phone # on it.

About two hours before you are ready to leave, call that phone # and schedule a pickup time. Use a pay phone or cell phone.

Return to the location where you were dropped off that morning at the time Mears gives you.

BUMP!!!

Just in case anyone else has any other ideas or suggestions. My DH and I have park tickets to go to Universal, but have one small problem...no way to get there.

I am thinking Mears will be out best bet, but I was wondering if anyone else had any other ideas or thoughts.

I'm using a town car service to go from WDW to USO but only because we'll be doing it the same day we are leaving town (only way to do it) so I want to make sure we are on schedule without having to worry about other stops.

BE CAREFUL! When someone triest to pick you up, make sure it is really Mears or whoever you called. We had a bad experience last year with an unauthorized service pretending to be Mears at Coronado and then wanting payment when we got to Universal. We had already paid Mears. We refused to pay, and luckily Mears was accomodating with taking us home when we explained the situation. It wasn't just my boyfriend and me, either... there was another couple in the same situation, who was supposed to have caught the same Mears shuttle.
