How to transfer points to another member?

I have 70 points at Boardwalk that expire Sept 30, 2006. (October use year) What are the steps I have to thru to transfer to another member ?
What is the going rate for member transfers per point ?
Finally what is the best way to be paid? I have seen pay pal it it the best
way?

We transferred points via a 3 way call to Member Services. It was transferred to a friend... so I'm not sure of the going rate for renting points out... but I think it's around $10 per point (check out the DVC Rent/Trade Board ). I rented points to try out some DVC resorts before I bought into it, and one time I paid by Paypal and one time by bank check.

If they are current points, you can still bank them for use next year. If they were banked from your October, 2004 Use Year, they cannot be transferred at all. Unless you know you cannot use them next year, I'd sure consider banking them rather than hassle with renting or transferring.

I called MS with the information for 2 transfers I did. I did an 'honor system'. I obtained the other members information, called MS and asked them to transfer into their account. I then had to fax a written letter acknowledging the transfer. I then contacted the member who in turn confirmed with MS that the transfer was complete.

It was pretty easy and the 2 other members I worked with were very honest and sent me a cashier check in 2 days!!! I had never done it before but MS walked me through the proceedure. It helped that we had the same home resort and use year though!!
