how to transfer luggage/and self from dolphin?

we are arriving at WDW on dec 31st and staying at the dolphin. From there, depending on the AP rates, we will be changing to a disney resort. WE are currently booked at the pop century. any ideas on how we can change hotels efficiently and timely? does the dolphin do luggage transfers? do the value resorts except luggage from other resorts?

Since the Swan and Dolphin are not Disney owned properties they do not do luggage transfers for you. My neighbor was there last year at this time and theyy had to do the transfer themselves. If you don't have a rental car the best way would be to call a cab and transfer that way. Things may have changed in the past year. Maybe someone else has updated info regarding this.

I would call the S/D and ask. There was a thread several weeks ago and several people posted that the S/D DID DO luggage transfers all the time--to a on-site hotel, of course.

The Swan transferred our luggage to our Disney Resort in April & June 2003. We just told them we needed our luggage transferred and they said no problem and when we came back in the afternoon to our new resort our luggage was waiting for us.

We are just going to take in what we need for 1 night. We paln to head to the park in the am and we will check in to the WL later on that day.

One night (NYE) at the Swan and then its on to AKL.

I think we may rent a car, its about the same price as a limo and then we will be able to move ourselves.

But that is very good to know they will move our bags for us in
case I change my mind and don't get a car.
