How to trade codes for an item?

I was hoping to get some advice on how to do this and make sure it works out fairly for both parties. Is there any safe way to trade room codes for in-game items? Should a CL be involved? Any advice is appreciated.

In my opinion the safest method, for both parties involved, is to ask a CL to hold the items offered while the code is entered to verify it is valid. Once the code is checked, the CL trades the items to the former owner of the code. Trading codes is always risky, that's another reason I wish rooms could be traded like other items in the game.

I agree with you on room trades Lori, but disagree on the CL thing. CLs are just regular players like anyone else that got a fancy tag for answering some questions, some do thier job, some dont. And I know for a fact if someone said to me "oh we can have so and so CL hold the items" the trade would not happen. Best case, is to have the items held by someone who knows and is trusted by both players, regardless of CL designation or not.
