How to tour with offsite guests & FP+?

We are meeting a couple people one day at EP who will be staying offsite. We will be on property and I had planned to book all our FP+ ahead of time. How do you tour the park with others who aren't able to book their FP+ in advance? I am sure they will just buy their ticket day of at the gate. Should I still book our FP+ and try to get them similar times in park, or wait and book them all together? Curious how others are doing it.
