How to "tour" hotels??

Hi,

I've noticed several posts (here and on other boards) that have mentioned that people have "seen" hotel rooms without actually staying there. Is this possible? I am thinking it might be nice to check out the Poly and the GF when we are there in Sept (staying at CR).

How is this done?

We got to see a room at the GF on one of our trips. We just went to the resort and talked to a cast member at registration. We said we were thinking of staying there on our next trip to Disney, and asked if it would be possible to actually see one of the rooms. Another cast member was contacted and she escorted us to the room. She was able to give us much helpful information. We did stay there on our next trip and had a gorgeous view of the castle.

We've gone over to see almost all of the resorts before staying there, but GF was the only one we asked about seeing a room.

Good Luck.

On our trip in 2001 we took a half day to tour the MK resorts. We were already staying at WL, but we visited and talked to cm's from CR, Poly, and GF. At each we talked to the front desk about being shown a room and each hotel obliged. It was always a "guest services" cm who escorted us to the rooms. They were all very nice and showed us several rooms as we wanted to check out the different types of views.

We also checked out the lobbies, grounds, pools, and restaurants at each resort and ate lunch at the GF Cafe. Each guest service cm also gave us a packet of info on their resort.

It was a really nice way to spend half a day, the resorts are all just so beautiful! :)

Thank you both!

Gi, that is exactly what I would like to do - just spend a half day looking at hotels. I doubt that my husband would like it, though. Maybe I could do one hotel each naptime...

Thanks again!

A great way to "see" a suite etc... is if housekeeping is cleaning and its empty getting ready for new people, we have walked by as your coming from your regular room down the hall, is to just ask "can we please, take a peek, or picture quickly, and they usually are very helpful! Especially if its your regular housekeeper that you've had a few days! :D MKY
