Are there any threads (or advice) that have a Cars Land plan to maximize your day there? We will be there on a Sunday (late October) and could really use some ideas on the best way to approach this! Please help :)

Cars Land is amazing and beautifully themed...but its not THAT big. I don't know that a big strategy (other than for RSR) or planning session is necessary. There are 3 rides (Radiator Springs Racers-you can read a lot about FP or other strategies for this one in other threads, Luigi's Flying Tires and Mater's Junkyard Jamboree), 3 food spots (Flo's V8 Cafe, Cozy Cones and Fillmore's Taste-In) and 3 shops (Sarge's, Ramon's and the Curio Shop). Other than that there are lots of nifty little details to just walk around and enjoy but I'd just let that 'happen' when you're there.

Big Red does come out in front of the courthouse several times a day and Mater and Lightning are in constant rotation in a photo spot in the front drive of the Cozy Cones. There is also DJs Dance Party at the main 'intersection' several times a day (check your daily schedule). My 3yr old enjoyed DJ's but I wouldn't consider it a 'must do'. Finally, the dusk lighting of the neon is neat but happens very quickly- there's an extensive thread about that on here too.

Like I said, Cars Land is amazing but its small enough that I don't think you need to stress over strategy- just relax and enjoy :)

If you are staying at a DLR hotel take advantage of early entry ... you should be able to do all 3 attractions in the 1 hour time frame. If you are not staying at a DLR hotel, get there at rope drop and head straight for RSR ... we've been able to get on RSR (on the actuall ride itself) within 20-30 mins for the past 4 trips we've taken there. After RSR, try Luigis and after that, Maters. We were there last Saturday morning and managed to do all 3 rides in only 65 minutes. You could always try to get fastpasses for RSR ... but you still need to be there fairly early because the usually run out of FP's by 10:00am. We tend to just wander around there thoughout the day ... they did a really amazing job with everything there

Thanks! We are staying at Disneyland Hotel and will get to the park for the EMH (which is 7am). I truly appreciate the help!

We are traveling with an infant. Can we do the kid swap on RS?

Yes, you can ride swap.

With EMH consider riding RSR during that hour and then lining up for FastPasses when the park opens officially. This will allow you to get FP for the evening when RSR is (IMHO) at it's best.

Luigi usually has the 2nd longest line after RSR so riding that second would seem to be the logical order to go in.

Which entrance do you suggest we use? The main or grand cali?

I think its a bit of a tossup. The GCH entrance can back up a bit for EMH (one morning we used it they only had 1 back check person which slowed things considerably) but it still wasn't horrible. The other morning we did EMH at DL there was a backup at the gates too.

If you're planning to grab FPs for World of Color too, I'd definitely go in via the GCH entrance since WoC FPs are right there. Then head on over to Cars Land (go down towards Paradise Pier then over to CL).
