can someone please tell me how to tip for the transportation to & from hotel? I'm paying $85 roundtrip up front to the first driver. Is it a certain percent or per bag? Do I tip according to just $45 per driver? (one way) Thank you

The general rule for tipping is just like in a restaurant. I generally tip 20%. That would make your tip $9 for each driver. I'd go ahead and round it off to $10 though, but that's just the way I am especially if the service is good. :jester:

I stayed at RP club level last year and will be doing so again in 3 weeks. Service is excellent in the club lounge. Does anyone tip the staff at club level concierge? I always generously tip my room stewards, but at club level aren't you already paying more to stay at that level? I don't want to be cheap...but what's the general concensus????

I wouldn't tip the concierge staff for making a reservation or for giving you brochures on other activities but I do leave a tip in the lounge if I sit and eat breakfast or come in for afternoon drinks for the person who clears my plates or refills my coffee mug. there is usually a "server" type person in the lounge who stocks the breakfast items and such. This is usually a poorly paid position and if they go out of their way I will tip accordingly by leaving a tip on the table. My general rule is $1 per person in my party.

The general rule is to tip concierge if they get you a hard to get reservation. The example usually given is a sold out Broadway show. I think if concierge get's you a last minute reservation for something like Emrils a tip would be appropriate.
