Our offer for our first DVC purchase was just accepted by the seller and now the dreaded ROFR wait has begun! We're excited to hopefully be DVC members but how will we ever survive the ROFR wait?

Can you share your secrets that have made this month bearable??? It has only been 1 day since papers were submitted and i'm already stressed... :yay:

GET your cert. check ready cause in 21 days you will be sending it to the title people in ORLANDO. Mark my word. :thumbsup2................We did last week.

I made a timeline of my resale process. It was nice to remember what happened and when...and not have to rely on my poor memory :goodvibes

I also tried to keep in mind that "if first you don't succeed, try, try again" and think that if for some reason, Disney excercised it's ROFR rights, I'd soon find another contract to go for....and give that a try.

As an old Tom Petty song goes - "The waiting is the hardest part..."

We're waiting for ROFR too...We bought our other 3 contracts through
Disney directly. What a big savings going through The TimeShare Store!

If we ever add on again we'll go this route for less dollars.:teacher:

Day 11 since my accepted offer was sent to ROFR and i'm still going crazy waiting for word from the mouse!

:surfweb:

Trying to keep my sanity during this time. I think i've memorized all of the 2010 point charts and i'm half way through the 2011's!!! Anyone wanna quiz me???

Tom Petty reference was right on! One more musical reference: Jack Johnson 'Sitting, Waiting, Wishing' My new theme song!!!

If you're on Day 11, I think you're in good shape.....last month I submitted a contract for BCV and heard that it was ROFR'd 7 days later. Of course, this could depend on where you're trying to purchase.

Hang in there....

We are in day 15....... and being on Disboards doesn't help......:rotfl: but I can't help it. ;)

Yes...... I'm getting real stressed ! :confused3 We can stress together ! :grouphug:

The wait gets even harder after you close and you have to wait a week before DVC Member Administration loads your points. The ladies in Member Administration are k-i-n-d-a slooooooooooow ;) Just wait til you talk to one. :)

The wait will be over soon. Disney hasn't been too active when it comes to ROFR expect for Beach Club contracts. Unless you bought Beach Club at $80 per point or less I would expect your contract to make it through.

We made an offer on an AKV contract June 25th and the points are finally in my account today, August 11th. Hopefully that helps you gauge the process. I think we heard back that we passed ROFR on July 21st.

Good Luck and keep us posted!
:)

Were on day 12 awaiting news, its just so hard knowing that it could be the start of a memorable journey to the place were dreams are made or the start or the long process again.

Thanks for the encouragement Jason.

Day 18 and the waiting is worse than ever.

David Lee Roth " I think the clock is SLLLLOOOOOWOWWWWWWWW!"

Maybe as the saying goes no news is good news but the waiting is agony especially when you are constantly checking your emails for the decision.

I know! How many times can you scroll through your inbox in a day??? Talk about suspense!;)

We are also waiting for ROFR since Aug. 3 which, has now been fifteen days for our first add-on. Hope to hear something soon.

We will have been waiting 3 weeks on Friday, now how much longer can this process take. Do you think that they take so long so that if you have been refused you will buy from Disney themselves.
