My Dsis and her DH are spending a free week at a timeshare in Orlando...Nov 22-30. They have little to NO money....he's still in college, she's a substitute teacher in middle school. I'd like to surprise them with a nice dinner at one of the resorts at WDW. Any suggestions? They're not into anything different...for example, Dsis usually gets chicken fingers when eating out!!! They will spend one day in MK, so I could possibly arrange it for that day....lunch/dinner in the castle, etc. Or do you think it would be possible to get something this late for Thanksgiving Day at one of the resorts???? I am clueless and know that this is pretty late, but I just talked to her tonight and got her final plans.

Also, how can I arrange to make sure they don't get a bill?

Thanks for the help!!!

bumping for all your clever ideas!!!

Set it up at one of the pre-fixed lunch or dinner restaurants. Then you can pay ahead of time the meal, tax, tip, etc. The restaurant probably has a pretty gift certificate or card you they can mail to your sister. I would recommend Chef Mickey's dinner at the Contemporary Resort. Click here: http://wdwig.com/menu/menu_cmk.htm

If she is going to MK thanksgiving day if she gets there right at opening she can make a PS for CRT. They have to be made the day of in person. If you can get her to call and tell you what time she is eating you can call the manager at CRT and if you want to pay with a CC over the phone I believe they can do that an just tell her her meal was paid for by you.

Here's what I did....Dsis and Dbil have free one-day passes to MK for Tues and no plans for Thanksgiving. So I really wanted to give them a nice Thanksgiving dinner but I tried unsuccessfully to find any available PS at many of the resort restaurants that day. I really didn't expect to find anything available...

So....I narrowed it down to Chef Mickey's and the CM tried every other day that week and the only thing that was available was Tu at 8:45 pm!!!!! Now, of course they'll already be at MK that day...but it's the only day that the park closes earlier!!! So they won't miss the parade or fireworks and can take a leisurely stroll over to the Contemporary, eat dinner and then catch the monorail back over to the TTC to get to their car.

I bought $75 worth of gift certificates to pay for their dinner. We're on a pretty tight budget, so this will most likely be their Christmas present too!!!! So I'm going to make up a big box wrapped in Christmas paper for them to open once they arrive in Orlando. Inside of that will be a few smaller boxes that have a clue in each with the smallest box holding the gift certificates and their PS # for Chef Mickey's!!! I can't wait!!!!

I'm not sure there is time but if you could join Connections you could buy your sister some lunch vouchers. The lunch vouchers are 29.50 each and include appitizer, entre, beverage and dessert. They also sell quick and causal vouchers, 11.00 ea. These include entre with a side if not included, beverage and dessert. Both vouchers include tax and tip. You can also get breakfest vouchers. You can also join connections for 1.00 trial and then cancel. More info at mousesavers.com
