How to spend 12-2 am at MK on my own

so as long as I'm up for it, I would love to go back to MK after the kids are asleep (and hubby) and experience MK after hours. I'm guessing I'll be there from about 12-2. What should I do??? I'm a novice and wouldn't have to do rides. What can I explore that would be interesting to do without kids? Given it is EMH and I'm not sure what is open. Thanks!!!

Well, the Haunted Mansion is always neater late at night, at least to me. But I'd probably just sit and people watch. With kids it's usually go, go, go, and here's your chance to pick a nice spot on Main Street (or anywhere, really) and grab a snack and just sit watch folks go by (and be amazed at how many people have, like, 3-year olds up at that hour) and soak up atmosphere.

Plus, it might be a lot more crowded than you're expecting. Last time I planned to do this, wait times were pushing an hour for a lot of stuff. I stood in line for about 15 minutes for a candied apple.

BTMRR is like a different ride after dark. As PP said, HM is kind of special after dark. The last time I was in MK really late, I went into COP just before MK closed. Since that is a 20 minute ride, when I got out, MK was practically deserted. That felt like a very unique experience.

I love to be at MK by myself at night. I like doing Peter Pan as there usually no a line. Other than that I just go around free doing whatever at my own pace loving it.

At that time rides are just about all you can do. I'd probably just pick your favorites, start on one end of the park and make a big loop.

I'll also add that Splash Mountain, late-night, is a cool/weird experience. We often ride it right at park close (so that we don't have to walk around wet.). It's pretty cool to look out over a lit MK. It's also not uncommon to be the only ones in our log, with empty logs in front/behind... which honestly feels pretty creepy in some of the big show scenes. Especially when Br'er Fox & Br'er Bear cause a commotion downstream... "Did they forget us?"

Awesome suggestions! I have no idea how the crowds will be but can only expect it to be crazy crowded based on the week I'm going/holiday parties/veteran's day. Splash will be closed - boo! I'm going to just take it all in. I'm a huge researcher so I literally might go land by land checking out the nooks and crannies. I think there was a post about this recently, I'll look that up. I'll definitely do CoP since we probably won't get the kids on that. Does the train run? I'd probably take a ride. And of course snack.....I'll have a lot of snack credits to use up! I can't wait!

Big Thunder is a must do after dark! People Mover is also fun. Maybe even indulge in a ride on Dumbo and enjoy the lights!

Thunder mountain, HM, and Astro Orbiter if there's no lines are all great "night time" rides. Also if Peter Pan isn't busy that's a great stop too.

I love having park time to myself! It doesn't happen often. Once, I was riding Peoplemover alone and it got stuck for about 30 minutes. I was in the open area above the walkway over to the speedway. It was a great place to relax and people watch!

Thunder Mountain is one of my favorites at night.

Whenever I am there till closing time, I try to be by Splash and BTMR as the last ride. It seems the furthest out and if you take your time heading up front, you can get some great shots with nobody in the parks.

This is what I like to do too. But the last few times I've been it seems like they close Splash early when the park is open that late. I know it wasn't open during EMH on July 3 this year and I was really bummed.
