We're arriving in Anaheim next Saturday afternoon. We're staying outside the park, just across the street. We are planning on walking around the resort hotels and Downtown to admire the decorations. Any "must sees" or suggestions on getting into the mood? (As if I'm not already there in my mind! lol ) We don't have any dinner plans yet - we'll be eating early since we're flying in from the East coast.

Can't wait to feel that warm sunshine!!!

Walk through the lobby of the Grand California. Take your time and check out the lobby. If you want, you can follow the signs to White Water Snacks, it's near the pool. It has great inexpensive food. check out www.colddeadfish.net The gal has a Disneyland section and has listed reveiws and menu's from many of the places to eat. Story Tellers is also a great choice for eating.

The sweets shop, Marceliens (sp), has wonderful fudge. Yummy....my girls love the dipped rice crispy treats there also.

If you want an expensive teddy bear, you can go to build a bear. I guess the bear isn't as expensive as dressing the little guy/girl. We haven't done this yet, my girls aren't really into stuffed animals enought for me to shell out the dough. :smooth:

I love to window shop in DtD. There might be some bands playing or radio stations playing music. Check out the little carts. My sister found a few differnt things for her son and they weren't very expensive.

DIsneyland hotel has a water show (I think at 7, 8, and 9 pm) I don't know where it is, but have heard it's pretty neat.

Have fun.

Thank you Sonya. I browsed thru that site and it looks helpful. I haven't givena lot of thought as to where we'll be eating. I thought we'd kind of wing it. I usually take time to look into the options, but have been so swamped with work and holiday preparations. One of the best parts of a Disney vacation is the building anticipation and reading everthing I can get my hands on.On our first and only trip to DL in '99, we ran around like nuts to see everything. I missed all the subtle nuances, but got to ride everything we wanted to. This time, we bought 2 day park hoppers and plan to take it slower and soak it all in. I think that we'll have no other choice than to slow down with the post Christmas crowds! - not that I'm complaining!

So, if I get my wrapping done and some baking done, I'll be doing some "E" search.
