how to sell wedding dress?

Now that the wedding is over I am toying with the idea of selling my dress. Has anyone had any luck in selling theirs and how did you do it? It is a Disney dress and I'm not sure the best way to go about it. Thanks!

I am giving my gown to a friend, but before doing so we went to a shop called Marry Go Round where they resell gowns. There were several disney dresses there that my friend really liked. We went back a couple weeks later to purchase one and it was already sold. I believe Marry Go Round has several locations across the country. It is a consignment shop that only does wedding dresses. The one in Houston is very nice.
