How to score big points at Buzz Lightyear ride

What targets do you need to hit to score big points on the Buzz Lightyear Ride. In an ongoing competition with a friend.

Once you pass the robot on the left side spin around and zap the back of its hand. I believe that is 100,000 pts.

You can get 25,000 points for hitting the top of the volcano and I think it will even erupt when you hit it.

I came across a web page a while back about this and fortunately blogged about it so I still have the link. Hope it helps you more than it did me. It improved my score by an order of magnitude but I still can't score in the millions.
