How to request building at ASSports?

I read about how people request what building they want to stay in. We are staying at Sports and I don't really want to be at the very back of the resort. What is a good area to request and how and when do I make my request??

Hi Blue Eyes,

We'll be there the around the same time. Don't go preferred, the main pool is being refurb'd during that time. Bldg 10 is a great building. Its right between the lobby, food court, buses, and the bldg that will have the only available pool. Go to Allearsnet com and click on accommodations for a map of ASsports and photos.

I had reserved preferred but called and downgraded. When we were at Movies last Oct. when they were refurbing their pool you saw and heard bulldozers, what kind of vacation would that be.

One thing to remember never be afraid to ask for a different room. When staying at ASmu in Jan I had booked preferred. The first room was closest to the parking lot on the 3rd floor. Sorry didn't want to climb stairs at the end of the day or walk all the way down the hall take the elevator and walk all the way back down the hall again. 2nd room was at the right side of the T(All Star buildings are T shaped) on the underside 3rd floor again. When I approached the room I noticed the door was ajar, I didn't even go in I went to the ground floor by the elevator and called the front desk from down there. I asked to be downgraded that I didn't think preferred was worth it. He put me in the next bldg over ground floor the very first room. Perfect! Now every time they change your room you will have to go to the lobby to get new keys but they will change it.

Do I call and request a building, or wait until I get there? If I'm not
mistaken, the rooms are already assigned when you get there, so I would think it would need to be done before that!!

I would call now (if it's not a long distance call) or 7 to 5 days before you go just to confirm everything and make your request for bldg.
I usually make any request (which used to be non-smoking)
when I make my ressie. I always confirm the room reservation and any adr's 5 days or so before we leave just to make sure that everythings there.

Call now and ask but they will not guarantee the bldg. Another time I went during Pop Warner at ASMu they put me in Country Fair (or whatever its called) on the 3rd floor 2nd from the last room, right next to the last room was woods. When I checked in I was told it was all there was. It was just my DD (11 at the time) and me, I was a bit afraid. I called down to the front desk and asked if I could be moved was told no problem and they moved me to Jazz. So please if you get to the room and are not happy, call and asked to be moved.
