My experience is also that Sanaa will not seat parties of 2 (or solo guests) at a window seat even if you have an ADR for opening at either lunch or dinner or politely ask or politely offer to wait. They are 4 tops and Sanaa intends to seat parties of 3 or 4 at those tables. I have seen window seats sit empty for the entire length of my meal as I ate at my 2 top deeper in the restaurant. I have also watched parties of 2 get up from their 2 top tables after placing their order and carry their drinks to an empty 4 top window seat (much to the consternation of the waiters). Sanaa is a beautiful restaurant with quality food regardless of whether you get a coveted window seat or not. And if you have an ADR for dusk or later, you can't see much anyway. If you are a party of 2 or solo guest, pls don't get your hopes up for a window seat.
If possible, bump your ADR to 4:30pm and arrive at 4 for the free tour. You will be shown around the restaurant by a cultural ambassador, hear details about the artwork, sample the bread service then at the end of the tour you listen to the drums and signing of them opening the restaurant then you get seated for your ADR.Thanks for the info everyone! We are a party of three so we will ask when we arrive.
Can't wait!
Oh ya, you're right about 5pm being first seating. I wonder if it was different in august 2015. Anyway, i highly suggest checking the resort schedule for the tour that is immediately prior to opening.I believe the first dinner seating is at 5:00. We got there about a quarter till and I didn't even ask. They placed us at s window table. I think having a cute toddler helped![]()
So have we, every time our last four visits. And when we were there three weeks ago, there actually was a two-top at a window (back left). As with most venues, one can merely ask and hope for the best, but if you dine early (lunch or dinner), your odds increase. I would agree that many tables have good views beyond just the window tables. We have been seated at a window table as a party of two on several occasions.

We asked for one at the entrance and were told there would be a wait. We waited about 10 minutes. IT WAS SOOO worth it! Absolutely lovely. You ask when you get there. If there's one available that will fit your party they'll do it. If it's not available, you might be able to say you will wait until one is. Or you may not.
