How to reply to a pm

I've just replied to a pm by clicking on comment. Is that correct?

If it is a PM then you reply the same as you do to reply to a post, just enter your reply in the box and hit 'post reply'

Sharon, just checked your profile page. What you actually replied to was not a PM but a profile post on your profile page. So, clcking 'comment' is the correct way to respond but bear in mind that this is open to all to see, it is not a private message.
