We're heading down with two 85 year olds and want to get wheelchairs that we can keep for the week. Any ideas?

Free wheelchairs? Sounds good. Should we call and reserve them and are they the same ones they use in the parks?

Well if you want to arrange it all ahead of time I suggest renting from an off site vendor. Sometime the free chairs at the resorts aren't in the best of shape or do not fit the person that needs them too well. Also they are not guaranteed, it's a first come, first serve service. Check out the DisAbilities FAQ for more info on the off site vendors. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=595713

I've always had good service from Randy's Mobility. www.randysmobility.com They will deliver the chair on the day you check in, and pick it up on your last day for free.

Hi and :welcome: to disABILITIES!

As a good start, if you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. One of the top items is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information. Post #2 gives lots of information about wheelchair (and ECV) rentals and even borrowings. Once you have looked there we may be able to assist with more specific questions.

Or, if you want an easier route, click on the link in my signature.
