How to Rent Points?

We were planning our first trip as DVC Owners but unfortunately may not be able to go due to some unforeseen circumstances. Does anyone have any tips for renting points? Are there sample rental agreements out there?

Can you bank these points so you don't lose them? Then you can get double the trip (either longer stay, larger accomodations or two trips) out of them next year.

The easiest way might be to check with family, friends and co-workers to see if any of them might be interested in purchasing your reservation for a discounted price. Then you know who you are selling it to and they know who they are working with. A win-win situation.
