How to remove strong reed diffuser smell from wall?

Hi Everyone I was recently cleaning and knocked my reed diffuser over it went on the wall and down the back of a chest of drawers the smell is so strong. I blotted it straight away and used fairy I’ve used a bleach spray too but it’s still so strong has anyone used anything that gets rid of the smell that I could try please

Place an opened container of vinegar or baking soda nearby to absorb the odor. Clean the wall with a mild solution of your favorite degreaser.

Natures Miracles regular or Skunk Spray available at most feed stores, Petco or Amazon.
The stuff really works good, amazing it works at all.

Is there a more economical option available?

I believe the adage 'spend what's in your pocket, and what's unseen will come to you' has become quite difficult to adhere to in the current climate. Lol

for the bureau-can you lay it on down on something? if so you might try sprinkling baking soda on the oil saturated area. it takes a while but it can absorb what has soaked into the wood (multiple applications). this worked for us when a bottle of oil broke adjacent to a wooden cabinet

It is likely oil based, so dish soap and hot water would work better than bleach. I'm not sure the enzymatic pet cleaner will do the job.

yes. just sprinkle a decent layer on it. as it absorbs the oil it will get kind of clumpy so remove that and reapply. it took several reapplications over several days with our wooden cabinet but it ultimatly drew the oil out.

Mythbusters once did an episode on terrible smells and the winner was baking soda and hydrogen peroxide - use gloves. You can splash the peroxide on walls and sort of throw the baking soda into it and make a paste .

It might mess up your paint or wallpaper so maybe test it. I never had trouble with it and it works really well plus it removes nearly every stain I ever tried it on
