From the In-Room Gifts page on the DCL website:How do I pre-purchase the beer mugs and wine package? Do I truly have to download the order form off the website and fax it? Surely there is an easier way...
Thanks in advance for your guidance.
So if I get it delivered to my room, do I just take a bottle into the dining room with me each night? There is no additional fee for that?We called the # and just ordered it with our cc - it was waiting in our room upon boarding. Our friends just got theirs at the bar the first afternoon on board. Whatever you prefer
Last time we sailed it was same price at the bar as by ordering ahead of time.
Wine packages have no additional corkage fee. And you get the wine in the dining room. I don't believe it's in your room. The beer mug, however, is a token (or possibly the actual mug) and could be in your room.So if I get it delivered to my room, do I just take a bottle into the dining room with me each night? Take a bottle of... ? We took our beer mug (or token) to the main dining room each night and the servers still brought us the beer to have with dinner. You are given a beer token when you are done with your mug for a while so you don't need to carry it around, when you are ready to get another beer just hand in your beer token to the next bartender/server. Beer token is just a piece of paper. So if I get it delivered to my room, do I just take a bottle into the dining room with me each night? There is no additional fee for that?
If the wine was purchased on the cruise, then there's no corkage fee. If it's a bottle you brought onboard, there's a corkage fee. Sad to say, the CMs that answer the phone don't always give correct answers. So sorry about the fragmented post...
I did ask about the beer mug initially, but my fragmented post was regarding taking a bottle of wine into the dining room. I called DCL - no corkage fee.
The beer mug is a piece of paper, not the regular token card, that is in your room. You present it at a bar and they either give you the token or they give you the mug. I've yet to see the mug in the room.
To order I always call. That way we can make sure they have everything in the computer correctly.
Mugs have been in the room, it was for meYep, works like a champ. Not sure where you got the idea that a token or mug was in your room, it is your receipt in the room and that works miracles at the bar! We drink very little, but I do enjoy a beer once in a while on the longer cruises. Calling in ahead and speaking to a human works like a champ;.
