How to package dole whip (mix) for a gift?

Yes, I'll go to a different dollar tree today and will just get something. I just really wanted it to look cute when she opened it, rather than just the plain white bag it came in. Her DH is in Afghanistan and she is dying to go back to WDW but won't be able to for awhile, so hopefully this will help with at least getting her dole whip fix. Thanks again for the great ideas!

Try a party store or dollar store for some tiki themed cups/bowls/items! We have some that we use whenever we make Dole Whip!

Oh! And print this!

I'm not sure where you bought your mix, but I got mine from http://www.precisionfoodsstore.com/dole.html . It was $20.88, shipping included.

These would be cute. http://www.partycity.com/product/floral+paradise+warm+12oz+plastic+margarita+glass.do?navSet=109854
The description from the place where you got yours says it's for use in a commercial machine only not for home use. I'd like to order some but that has me concerned. Have you used yours? If so, what kind of machine did you use? It also says that the bag makes 72 servings. How do you make less? I REALLY want to get this for New Years Eve.

I bought the vanilla flavor for DS last year and we have made it. I personally don't like the taste of the vanilla, but it worked fine in my Cuisinart ice cream maker. I don't have time to look for it right now, but I will get back to you later on the mix to water ratio I used.

Oh thank you! Good to know. I don't have the ice cream maker, but that sounds like a great family gift. Thanks also for the input on vanilla. I'm thinking mango and pineapple.

I just remembered there's a youtube video that shows you how to do it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1fnJHTrI_o
Someone in another thread mentioned that you use 1/8 of the package, which would be 8.8 oz. On the video they say 1 & 1/3 cups. You mix this with 2 cups of cold water in a 4 cup measuring cup until completely dissolved, then add enough water to bring the level up to 4 cups/1 quart.
