I bought the dole whip mix for an obsessed friend. I was hoping to package it with some cute bowls or something but the only disney bowls I've seen are about $7 at disney store... I've already spent about $40 on the mix (with shipping) so I hate to spend another $30 on bowls or mugs. She has 3 disney obsessed girls who would fight over the bowl if I only got one!

So, does anyone have an idea where I can buy something like this inexpensively or another idea altogether on how I can package it? Thanks for any ideas!

Do you have a dollar tree? They usually have the sundae glasses at $1each. If you are interested in something specifically Disney, I would check target.

It might be hard to find now but you could go to a party store and see if they have any of the pineapple cups (.99)

Where did you find Dole Whip mix?

Thanks for the suggestions... I did look at target and didn't see anything but will try walmart plans dollar tree. I didn't think of the sundae glasses, that would be cute!

That would be so cute. Maybe Oriental Trading or Ebay! Ebay has 12 plastic pineapple cups for $13.99!

I'll be able to go to the party store tomorrow but I don't think I've ever seen pineapple cups. Hopefully one of these options will work, they all sound cute! Thanks!

Paper umbrellas! The only place I know I have seen them in winter is Party City. You could also check dollar stores and cocktail mixer area of grocery stores. They usually run $1-2 a dozen depending on the store.

Are you really supposed to use a disposable vessel such as a paper umbrella to make Dole Whip? Is it plastic coated? Will it stand up to all the stirring and kneading of the mixture?

Maybe you really need the rigid $7. bowls.

Target had some Disney mugs and glasses. I think I also saw some at Big Lots.

Good luck!

Today I tried dollar tree, two party stores, big lots, walmart and a different target than I did before and no luck. Will try a different dollar tree tomorrow. Oh well, thanks for the great ideas!

You could also try this. I saw it on Facebook.

Have you have ever been to Disney World and had a Dole Whip?
Now you can make your own at home!
️DOLE WHIP ️
2 cans (20 oz. each) DOLE crushed pineapple
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. lime juice
1/3 cup sugar ( i Used Stevia)
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

How to make it
Drain pineapple: reserve 2 tbsp. juice.
Set aside.
Place pineapple, lemon juice, lime juice, sugar and reserved pineapple juice in blender.
Cover and blend until smooth.
Pour into two 1-quart freezer zipped bags.
Store bags flat in freezer.
Freeze 1 1/2 hours or until slushy.
Stir pineapple slush gently into whipped cream until slightly blended in large bowl. Return to freezer until completely frozen, about 1 hour and serve.

I hate it when it seems like nothings available at your local store when you want it. I think ordering online can be a real life saver.

If you can't find bowls you like, how about just packing it with some party supplies. A luau themed tablecloth and music and a framed copy of your favorite photo of Adventure Land so they can pretend to be at WDW while enjoying their dessert?

The paper umbrellas would be for decoration, when you buy a Dole Whip Float at DLR it comes with a paper umbrella on top. It wouldn't be for mixing.

I wouldn't look specifically for a certain shape of bowl, just get some cute small glass bowls to serve it in. I was just at my Dollar Tree (getting some wine glasses and pint glasses to decorate for Christmas gifts) and they had some that were glass and some that were plastic but looked like cut glass. Good luck, I hope you find some!

I agree with the PP. I think any cute little bowl or cup would be fun. i can just imagine the smile this gift will bring!! you are a great friend!

Our family loves Dole Whip especially my dairy allergic ds. It's such a fun treat for him to get at the World.
