How to pack your minnie ears

I have a couple minnie ears I bought from etsy to wear at the parks. For those of you who bring ears with you, how do you pack them from being damaged? The last time we went I wrapped 3 of them in bubble wrap and put them in my carryon backpack but they took up the whole space of the backpack! Anyone have any better ideas? How do you all pack your ears? Thanks!
