So, if people in a cruise meet wanted to get together and say hi on day 1, how would that be organized? Do you just say show up here at this time? How do you pick a spot? Does DCL need to know?

Any help from veterans is appreciated.

You can arrange with DCL for a room, but I believe there may be a cost for that (could be wrong). Or just post on your Cruise Meet thread "Let's all meet at 3:00 on embarkation day in Promenade Lounge (or some other location)". That works also.

Thanks. Any suggestions for a spot that might not be nuts? We were dealing with naps last year, so I don't have a feel for where the crowds are on embarkation.

This is exactly what we did in October on the Magic. We just arranged to meet up at 3 in the Promenade Lounge. There weren't so many of us that we took over the entire lounge. Some folks got drinks, we introduced ourselves and mingled for around 30 minutes or so. It was enough time that we had time to get back to our rooms before the muster drill and it was well enough after lunch and pool time.

Are kids allowed in those spaces at that time?

Kids are allowed in Promenade Lounge at at any time. Most of the lounge areas are open to everyone during the daytime hours. There are a few that aren't (check a recent Navigator for which ones those would be).

On the Fantasy, we attended a meet at Currents Bar on Deck 13. So happy we did, because otherwise we would not have discovered Satellite Falls.
