HI here,, New Here.. Dumb question...

Everytime I read your WONDERFULL Posts, and advises etc., When I exit the area and come back , There they are again.. How do I read everyones post and not come back only to have to re-read the thread if someone else added to it, And just not to have to see a Thread Ive read already.. See I know dumb question, But at the AOL boards once you read a subject its GONE, unless you back search for it.. Thanks all

Hi Welcome to the DIS! The posts are posted on the page in order of last one that was posted or added to. (Skip over the first few as they are always there.) But after that - just scroll down and the ones that were just posted or the ones that were added to are in order of newest to last.

If you want to see any new messages that were added to a post, there is an option that says "last post" and also - "go to first unread post" that you can click on to see the newest addition to a post.

You might want to also ask this question on the tech board to see if one of the moderators there can give you a bit more info. :)

When you open a board, such as this Theme Parks board, as you scroll down the threads, you will see a gray square with an arrow on the left of some threads. If you click on that square, you will go to what is called "the last unread post". That way you don't have to try and find the new ones. When you get down to a thread where there is no gray box, there are no new posts.

One work of caution however, when you click on the square, it actually takes you to the first post since you last logged out. What that means is that new posts will not show up as new if you log out without reading them. This happens all the time. Lets say you spend an hour reading the Theme parks board. Then spend an hour reading the resorts board, then log out. During the time you are spending on the resorts board, new posts are added to the Theme parks board. When you log back in and go to a board, when you click on the square, you not be taken to those posts. So, what that means, is when you click on the gray square, scroll up a few posts to see if they are new to you.

Now for this to work, you obvisouly must be logged in.

I hope this isn't too confusing.

If there is a thread that I want to keep up with, I just click on "subscribe to this thread" at the end of the thread and I am sent the updated add-ons.:D
