HOW TO?? Monorail Downtown Disney to Tomorrowland

How does this work exactly? Can you enter the park for the first time of the day going this route?
Is there an entrance way where they scan tickets to get in?
4th big DL trip is next week and I still don't know all there is to know

There is an entrance where they scan tickets. It's near DLH...I usually say it's right by where the Rainforest Cafe used to be, but if you don't know where that is, that's not the best way to describe it. If you intend to maximize your magic morning or get there for rope drop, the monorail is not the best way to go. But it is fun, especially if you're taking a break in Downtown Disney and going back in to DL later in the day.

Thats why I am asking, we walked allllll the way to downtown disney many times just to eat not knowing there was a better way to get there

Yes, you can enter DL using the Monorail. Sometimes, they will limit the first morning trains to hotel guests. Also, the first train doesn't always head into the park at opening.

When we went last year they scanned our tix at the bottom of the entrance to the monorail in DTD. We boarded the monorail and took it to Tomorrowland. This was mid morning, not the first thing.

just a note on the Disneyland Monorail. There is no air conditioning in the carriages, so in the summer, they monitor the carriage temperature and when it gets too hot, they stop the Monorail for a few hours. Unfortunately, the times when they stop the service is usually from noon to about 4p or 5pm, right during the hottest part of the day, when people need to sit or take a break or want to go eat in Downtown Disney or the hotels
