Are children greeted by super heros at IOA much like the character greetings at Disney? Is there a parade of super heros? Thanks.

Yes there is a parade near marvel super hero island, I think twice a day. The superheros spend about 10 min. or so posing for pictures

It's awesome. My son and I love the super hero meet and greets. Each day, there is a parade every hour where you can take pictures and get autographs. It's wonderful. Also, inside the Marvel Alterniverse store there is an area set up to take pictures with Spiderman. He's there throughout the day with the exception of the parade time and meet and greets of course. My son had about 15 minutes with him before someone else came up. He was in heaven.

Great news! My two DSs are so excited about IOA. My only worry really is the trip being in November (Thanksgiving weekend)and knowing this is a park with lots of water rides. I suppose I'll just carry rain ponchos and try to keep us fairly dry. Your comments are welcome. Thanks.

TimeWarp, I also recommend taking a towel with you. I took one and boy did we need it after all the water rides! Also, look at the map for the times Spiderman is available at the Marvel store. The park was crowded the day we were there, but I don't think most people looked at the map to see the times he was available. My kids spent 10 min with Spidey before anyone else came. We got the best picture of them and it's going to be our Christmas card this year. FYI-the photo spot is in the back of the store.

We found that 2pm is a good time to meet all the X-Men. They usually turn up on motor bikes and if you stand under Storm - that's where we always got to talk to Rogue and Wolverine.
My son went on the Spiderman ride with us and the graphics broke down, so it was just a shaking about ride in the dark - he was terribly upset and frightened. When we came off, Spiderman found us sitting with him on the bench round the corner trying to comfort him - he spent at last 10 minutes talking with him, saying how sorry he didn't enjoy the ride and for it breaking down and took a special photo of him cuddling my son and later on after we collected the photo, we were just coming out of the Star Wars Store and he came up to us and asked how he felt now and signed his photo........really nice people!!:D
