My daughter and I are going to be at WDW in June and I was wondering...
If we are at a park and want to see if we can get an ADR at a resort for later that day, do I call disney dining or the resort or who?

I know it is unlikely we will get an ADR but just in case we want to try since there are only 2 of us. What number can I put in my cell phone?

You can also go to Guest Servies at any park and ask about Dining Reservations

Keep the disney dining number on your cell phone. You call the regular number and then answer the prompt that you are in the Orlando area and/or seeking to make a reservation in the next 7 days. You definitely may be able to get an ADR especially if you are looking at the places which are not the most popular. I have had pretty good luck with calling when I was there. I have also called and cancelled ADRs the day of or the day before, when we changed our park plans or weren't going to make it to a restaurant on time. They usually thank me for calling so they could let someone else have the ADR. A week and a half ago, I had no problem moving my Les Chefs time to later in the afternoon. I even had a choice of times. You can call and ask what they have available for that day in the park where you are too. You just never know.

One warning I should have mentioned- I discovered that it is very hard to get through the Disney phone line computer prompting system to a person when you are at the parks. The computer definitely does not like the background noise. I had to go in a store and find a quiet corner and get practically behind a rack of clothes to get the stupid computer to understand what I was saying and get me to a person to rework our ADRs! It kept telling me it didn't understand and disconnecting me.

Thank you everyone. I know it may be a long shot, but with only 2 of us we are able to be more flexible. We do have ADRs already, but not every meal is covered.

Telephone.
Guest Services at the parks (Epcot will have a board when you walk in, showing availability in that park that day).
There's a booth in DHS on the corner of - I think - Hollywood and Sunset, opposite the hat and before the Brown Derby. You can make reservations there.
Guest Services at Downtown Disney.
Guest Services/Concierge in any resort.
Any restaurant podium.

All the above sources can be used to determine availability/make reservations for ANY restaurant onsite that accepts reservations.

You should also try to go into the restaurant itself. Last July, I saw someone do that at Chef Mickey's for dinner, just after they opened; he told the CM he hadn't been able to get an ADR over the phone. They got a seat. Also, on the same trip, our flight was delayed by over four hours, so we missed our dinner ADR at Kona on our arrival night. I called from Magical Express (we landed about 30 minutes after our ADR), and we were told we could not get another one until 9:30 p.m. After we got to the Poly at about 7:00, I checked in downstairs, and DH walked upstairs to Kona. Guess what--we were seated without a wait and no ADR by that point.

Definitely check at the restaurant. We were there the last week in April. After we bought our APs at DHS Guest Services, we asked if there were any ADRs available for Hollywood & Vine. He checked and said there weren't. We walked staright over there and were seated in 15 minutes.
