How to make FP+ reservations with split stay off and on-resort?

Hi,

I've been asked by my friend to help plan her pending trip to WDW including all her fast pass selections. While I'm able to make FP+ selections for when they're staying on site (at POP resort) I'm not able to make FP+ selections for when they're staying off site the week prior. Specifically, when I go to make FP+ selections one MDE it only offers me the date from when they're on resort, and it doesn't even allow me to make FP+ selections for any dates prior, even though I'm within 30 day mark (they arrive Nov 12th). Any tips please?? Would really appreciate assistance as I want to try and help them have the best trip possible even though they are going so last minute.

Your friend obviously has an onsite package booked. The tickets do not activate until check-in day.

The only thing she can do is "early activate" her tickets when she arrives at WDW and then book FPs for her park days during her offsite stay.
